CEO vows to solve customers' energy challenges with integrated solutions

Hansol Energyon, led by CEO Yu Gyeong-jun, is transforming itself from a solar module maker into a comprehensive renewable energy platform company.

Spun off from Hansol Technics' energy solution division in April, Hansol Energyon has focused on manufacturing and supplying solar modules. The company is drawing attention as the spread of AI data centers drives up electricity demand and the government tightens its carbon neutrality policy, both trends elevating the importance of solar power.

Energyon is expanding its business into energy storage systems (ESS), inverters and energy solution services. The company plans to leverage its solar module manufacturing capabilities and energy solution expertise to move into power brokerage and business-to-business power trading, ultimately establishing itself as a comprehensive renewable energy platform.

The company's solar module competitiveness stands out. It has obtained all major domestic and international certifications — KS, IEC61215, IEC61730 and UL.

Building on those credentials, Energyon has supplied solar modules to major domestic projects, including Incheon International Airport's Terminal 2, the Sinan Anjwa Smart Farm Solar City and the Solasido development in Haenam. The company also develops and supplies a range of specialized solar modules: solar noise barriers used along highways and railways, colored solar modules for building exteriors, and solar louvers that automatically adjust their angle in response to changing environmental conditions.

More recently, the company has been expanding its inverter lineup, a key component that determines the efficiency and stability of power generation facilities. In line with the government's policy to promote rooftop solar installations on apartment buildings, Energyon plans to supply a variety of inverters suited to different generation environments, including microinverters designed for small spaces such as balconies.

The company also provides generation consulting services to solar power customers, supporting the construction and performance improvement of their facilities. Its energy solution services cover the full cycle — from design and installation to operations — encompassing maintenance to address performance-degrading factors such as module contamination, as well as full plant management.
