NHN Cloud and NHN Dooray will support DB Securities in transforming its company-wide work environment. The project applies dedicated infrastructure and a collaboration software-as-a-service solution tailored to financial sector security and regulatory requirements across the brokerage's entire operations — a move expected to accelerate both companies' push into the financial industry.

NHN Cloud, NHN Dooray and DB Securities announced Monday they had signed a strategic partnership for workplace innovation.

Under the agreement, DB Securities will deploy Dooray — NHN Dooray's all-in-one AI collaboration tool — across the entire organization. The implementation project is set to begin in the second half of this year, with a target launch before year-end.

Dooray integrates core enterprise collaboration functions — including email, project management, messaging, electronic approvals and attendance management — into a single service. The rollout will also include Dooray AI, a subscription-based AI service that embeds artificial intelligence into collaboration features such as email, messaging and wiki tools, and supports multiple large language models including ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude.

A dedicated infrastructure separation service will also be introduced to meet financial sector security requirements. The setup provides each client with its own isolated environment, allowing firms to use Dooray and Dooray AI while complying with financial regulations.

Dooray obtained CSAP SaaS security certification in 2020 and has since expanded its customer base to private companies and public institutions. It currently serves more than 4,000 private firms and organizations and more than 150 public institutions. In December last year, the Financial Services Commission designated it an innovative financial service. This year it became the first domestic collaboration solution to pass both the Financial Security Institute's cloud service provider safety assessment and its SaaS provider evaluation.

NHN Dooray has used those credentials to streamline the onboarding process for financial firms and grow its financial sector client base. The company currently counts more than 20 financial institutions among its customers and plans to strengthen its position in the financial SaaS market on the back of the DB Securities company-wide adoption.

"Digital transformation is a core task for financial companies to secure sustainable growth and future competitiveness," a DB Securities official said. "We will build a more efficient and smarter work environment based on NHN's advanced cloud infrastructure, collaboration platform and AI capabilities."

An NHN Cloud official said the project is significant because it delivers dedicated infrastructure and collaboration tools together, simultaneously meeting the financial sector's stringent security requirements and its need for flexible SaaS adoption. "We will continue to develop standard services that allow financial companies to fully leverage the strengths of cloud and SaaS while rigorously addressing regulatory and security demands," the official added.

Meanwhile, NHN Cloud is also working with DB Inc., the IT services affiliate of DB Group, to expand cloud and AI work environments across the financial sector. NHN Cloud recently signed a strategic MOU with DB Inc. and NHN Dooray to jointly identify new digital transformation project opportunities targeting customers in the financial, insurance and manufacturing sectors. Under the arrangement, NHN Cloud will provide financial-grade infrastructure and technical support, DB Inc. will handle service deployment and expansion drawing on its financial IT operations experience, and NHN Dooray will contribute its AI collaboration platform.
