Quality, safety assessments cover 121 member companies nationwide
10 insulated glass, 3 tempered glass, 2 laminated glass ratings awarded
Genuine glass certification regime runs alongside processing quality controls
KCC Glass has created a new top-tier ONE rating within its glass processing member network, eMaster Club, extending its quality management reach from flat glass retail to the processing stage.
The company announced Tuesday it would introduce the premium ONE rating into eMaster Club, a certification system that evaluates the technical capability and quality competitiveness of glass processing companies. The network currently has 121 member companies nationwide holding a combined 164 certifications.
The ONE rating will be awarded only to companies in the top 10 percent of all member firms. Certifications are allocated by process type — 10 in the insulated glass category, three in tempered glass and two in laminated glass.
Assessments will weigh product quality, workplace management and safety standards. Demerits will be applied for defect complaints and absences from quality and technology seminars. Evaluations run from January through April each year, with results announced at an annual seminar.
KCC Glass plans to drive quality improvements by identifying top-performing members and offering them incentives. ONE-rated companies will receive support for Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS) accreditation certificates, bonus points when selected for special sales projects, quality measurement equipment and promotional support.
"We introduced the ONE rating to cultivate core member companies that will lead the domestic glass market and to strengthen eMaster Club's quality management capabilities," a KCC Glass official said. "We will work with our top members to establish the highest industry standards for glass processing quality."
