New IB division established to boost sales
Treasury, synergy units also created
Executive and department head appointments made
iM Securities announced Tuesday that it has carried out an organizational restructuring and executive personnel changes to strengthen its sales competitiveness.
The company will establish a Strategic Operations Office reporting directly to the CEO, with a Principal Investment Management Division placed under it. A Securities Lending and Swap Division and a Strategic Bond Division have also been added to the structure.
The S&T headquarters has been reorganized into a Wholesale headquarters, with a Financial Products and Institutional Division placed under it.
iM Securities created a new IB division to strengthen sales in the traditional investment banking business, with IB Division I and IB Division II operating beneath it. The company plans to expand its revenue base by offering comprehensive solution services through the IB division.
To strengthen the expertise and capabilities of support functions, iM Securities established a Treasury Division and a Synergy Promotion Division under the Management Strategy division. The Human Resources Division and General Affairs Division have been placed under the Management Support headquarters.
Alongside the restructuring, iM Securities carried out personnel changes for executives and department heads. Jeong Ho-cheol, head of the Management Support headquarters, and Seong Hong-gi, head of the Marketing headquarters, were promoted to senior managing director.
Park Hee-kwon was newly appointed as acting head of the Strategic Operations Office, Lee Jin-hee as acting head of the Busan WM Center, and Ji Gwang-hyeon as head of the Marketing Planning Division.
iM Securities President Park Tae-dong said the company will "build a sustainable growth foundation by securing sales competitiveness through maximizing capital efficiency, ensuring stable and continued growth."
