Partnership to strengthen asset succession solutions for business owners, co-host private conferences
Korea Investment & Securities announced Sunday it has signed a memorandum of understanding with accounting firm Samil PwC to enhance services for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices.
The agreement is designed to deliver integrated wealth management by combining each firm's expertise across financial investment, asset succession, and tax and financial advisory for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and business owner clients.
Under the MOU, the two firms will cooperate on strengthening asset succession solutions for wealthy individuals and business owners, global wealth management and asset transfer advisory, and co-hosting private conferences.
Korea Investment & Securities' dedicated wealth management unit for ultra-high-net-worth clients, GWM, provides tailored solutions covering global investment, asset succession and real estate, as well as family office services. The firm also operates a one-stop care platform for ultra-high-net-worth clients.
Samil PwC launched its Heritage Center, a dedicated advisory unit for high-net-worth individuals, in March.
"We expect strong synergies from combining Korea Investment & Securities' wealth management capabilities with Samil PwC Heritage Center's tax and financial advisory expertise and global network," said Kim Do-hyun, head of the retail client group at Korea Investment & Securities. "We will continue to strengthen our differentiated wealth management services going forward."
Korea Investment & Securities has been expanding its customer services through a range of new partnerships. On June 19, the firm hosted an event bringing together Korea representatives and Asia-regional executives from major global asset managers — including Carlyle, JPMorgan and Man Group — to broaden the supply of global investment products and deepen strategic cooperation. Earlier, on June 15, it co-hosted what it described as the first large-scale Korea-China investment strategy forum in the country, together with Chinese brokerage Guotai Junan Securities.
