A surprise marriage proposal stole the spotlight during a 2026 FIFA World Cup match in North America.

According to US media outlet Complex, a woman was caught on camera getting down on one knee to propose to her boyfriend during the Group F match between the Netherlands and Tunisia at a stadium in Kansas City on June 26.

Her boyfriend accepted with a visibly moved expression, drawing cheers and applause from the crowd around them.

The moment made the day even more memorable for Dutch fans, as the Netherlands defeated Tunisia 3-1 to clinch first place in Group F and advance to the round of 32.
