Hyungji Innovation and Creative announced Friday that its menswear brand BON has drawn a strong response to its expanded cool-biz suit lineup this season.

Sales of the suit products over the past three months — from April 1 through Thursday — rose 35 percent compared with the same period a year earlier.

BON expanded its cool-biz product volume by 20 percent year-on-year to meet growing demand for cool-biz looks, with an emphasis on lightweight materials and ease of movement. This season's cool-biz suits were released in seven styles and 11 colors.

The suits feature an unconstructed design that minimizes internal components such as shoulder pads and lining, delivering a light and natural fit. Stretch fabrics are also used to enhance comfort.

"We will continue to respond swiftly to climate changes such as extreme heat, as well as shifts in our customers' lifestyles, and develop competitive products to bring to market," a Hyungji Innovation and Creative official said.
