Online cumulative sales top 265.8 billion won, an all-time high; offline visitors reach 2.2 million; brands topping 100 million won up fivefold
Musinsa announced Friday that online cumulative sales from its "Mujinjang Summer Black Friday" event, held June 14 to June 24, surpassed 265.8 billion won ($173 million), an all-time record.
The pace worked out to about 1 billion won per hour, or 16.8 million won per minute. Combined online and offline sales reached 283 billion won in total, also a record high.
Total units sold through the Musinsa online store approached 7.75 million — roughly 489 items per minute. Laid out using the footprint of the No. 3 delivery box most commonly used by Musinsa stores (15 centimeters tall, 35 centimeters wide and 18 centimeters deep), the combined floor area would be about 48 times the playing field at Uniqlo Field at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers' home ballpark. Shipping the entire volume would require 10,757 one-ton delivery trucks.
About 2.2 million customers visited Musinsa's offline stores and Musinsa Standard locations during the event.
Among brands on the platform, 470 recorded sales of at least 100 million won during the event — more than five times the number from the first Mujinjang Summer Black Friday in 2022. Of those brands, 85 percent are domestic.
Footwear brand Pinoki posted sales of more than 300 million won during the event. Women's brands Second Salt and Loop each exceeded 200 million won over the same period. A single item — the Derby Shoes Shower 808 by domestic brand Kinchi, offered at a special discount — sold nearly 800 million won on its own.
Online and offline events also drew strong participation. More than 330,000 people took part in the "Open Run Random Draw" event, held three times daily throughout the promotion. More than 10,000 people joined the "Catch Your Luck" event at Musinsa Megastore Seongsu, and the public vote for finalists in the "Mujinjang Success Wish AI Ad Contest" drew more than 18,000 comments.
"We will continue to create differentiated shopping experiences and growth opportunities so that our brands can reach more customers," a Musinsa official said.
