Dalseong-gun in Daegu announced Thursday that it will push ahead with the Gangnim District 1 cadastral resurvey project in Okpo-eup's Gangnim-ri to correct discrepancies between actual land conditions and official cadastral maps.
The project covers a total of 276 parcels centered on lot No. 116 in Gangnim-ri, Okpo-eup.
Dalseong-gun drew up an implementation plan late last year and, following a public briefing session for residents, secured the consent of at least two-thirds of landowners by both number and area — the legal threshold required to proceed.
The site is expected to be formally designated as an official cadastral resurvey district this month after review by the Daegu Metropolitan City Cadastral Resurvey Committee.
"The cadastral resurvey project is a vital undertaking that protects residents' property rights and enhances the utility of their land," Dalseong-gun chief Choe Jae-hun said. "We will actively listen to landowners' opinions throughout the boundary-setting process and complete the project transparently and swiftly."
