15th sustainability report published

2025 emissions at 102,737 tons, down 9.5% from prior year

Anti-corruption risk assessment introduced, ESG committee powers expanded

LX Hausys has published its 15th sustainability report, detailing ESG management achievements including greenhouse gas reductions and a strengthened compliance system. The company also introduced a company-wide anti-corruption risk assessment and developed measures to bolster the ESG capabilities of its partner firms.

LX Hausys said Thursday it has published the report for 15 consecutive years since becoming the first company in South Korea's interior industry to release a sustainability report in 2012. According to the report, the company's greenhouse gas emissions totaled 102,737 tons in 2025, down 9.5 percent from 113,473 tons the previous year. The company said it achieved the reduction through facility improvements and energy consumption management.

On the social front, the report highlights efforts to strengthen ESG capabilities among partner companies. LX Hausys said it supported suppliers in improving their environmental management practices and implemented close oversight to enhance safety capabilities. To prevent human rights risks both inside and outside the organization, the company published its own human rights policy and reorganized its grievance channels.

In governance, the company introduced a company-wide anti-corruption risk assessment for the first time and expanded the authority of its ESG Committee. The committee's role now extends beyond its previous advisory and monitoring functions. It has been elevated to a body with final approval authority over major ESG policies, including long- and medium-term environmental and safety targets and carbon neutrality goals.

LX Hausys also continued to perform well in external evaluations, earning an integrated A rating for the 10th consecutive year from the Korea ESG Standards Institute. The company said it is the only firm in the domestic interior industry to have maintained an integrated A rating or higher for 10 consecutive years.

In April, LX Hausys was included for the second consecutive year in S&P Global's "2026 Sustainability Yearbook." The company said it ranked in the top 8 percent among building materials companies globally, making it the only South Korean building materials firm on the list.

"Our 15th sustainability report covers not only environmental achievements such as greenhouse gas reductions, but also the strengthening of our human rights management policy and the expansion of the ESG Committee's authority," a company official said. "We will continue to communicate concretely and transparently with our diverse stakeholders as we pursue industry-leading ESG management."
