Keimyung Culture University held its 2026 Integrated Overseas Dispatch Ceremony at the Byeogo Room in Shattuck Hall on Sunday, encouraging students preparing to go abroad to strengthen their global skills.

The ceremony was organized to boost the pride of students who will take part in language training, field learning, volunteer work and exchange programs around the world during the summer break and the second half of the year, and to reaffirm their commitment to completing their programs safely and successfully.

This year, the university will send 179 students to 15 institutions in nine countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

The students will take part in a range of programs — 70 through the Paran Sadari scholarship program, 33 through a global service-learning initiative, 20 through the KMCU Dream Sadari program, 18 through an ASEAN technical and vocational education and training student exchange project, 15 through LUPIC GS-L, 10 through a junior college global field learning program, nine through K-Move School, and four as exchange students at Saga Women's University.

Keimyung Culture University also runs the KMCU Dream Sadari program using its own institutional funding, aiming to extend the reach and impact of the Paran Sadari initiative.

This year, 20 students were selected for KMCU Dream Sadari and will travel to Canada and Japan for four weeks, taking part in local language training, cultural experiences and global competency-building activities.

"I hope the students stepping onto the world stage will take pride in being members of the Keimyung Culture community and actively embrace their academic studies and diverse experiences abroad," President Park Seung-ho said. "Above all, I look forward to them returning in good health and safety, having grown into global talent through their experience of the world."
