The Cheongsong-gun Council in North Gyeongsang Province held a closing ceremony Wednesday in its main chamber, marking the end of the 9th council's four-year term.

All council members and local government officials attended. The ceremony included a national salute, a video review of the council's legislative activities, a progress report, remarks from individual members, a congratulatory address by the county governor and a closing statement by the council speaker.

Since its launch on July 1, 2022, the 9th Cheongsong-gun Council reviewed and passed a range of ordinances and budget proposals through regular and special sessions, working to resolve local issues and improve residents' quality of life.

The council moved quickly when large-scale wildfires swept through northern North Gyeongsang Province, visiting affected areas and rallying support for emergency recovery efforts and budget allocation to help restore the local community.

Council Speaker Shim Sang-hyu said in his closing remarks that "the past four years were a time of responsibility and mission," adding that he hoped "the path the 9th Cheongsong-gun Council has walked will serve as a foundation for Cheongsong's development."
