Actor Park Jung-soo has stepped forward to personally address a string of rumors circulating about her.

A video titled "Granddaughters come to clear up the Coupang Inc part-time job rumors — a hilarious family dinner" was posted Wednesday on the YouTube channel "You Can't Stop Jung-soo." In it, Park sat down with her two granddaughters and read through her own entry on Namu Wiki, a Korean online encyclopedia.

The entry's claims about her common-law partner, director Jeong Eul-young, drew fire first.

According to the Namu Wiki entry, Park had tried to end the relationship after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer, but Jeong confessed he would care for her until death — and out of gratitude, she gave him a five-story building she owned in Apgujeong to use as a workspace.

"That's a lie. Who's going to nurse someone until they die? Who wrote that kind of fiction?" Park said, visibly baffled. She then added, drawing laughter, "It's true that I built him an office so he would work hard. He did try hard at first. That's how it started."

Park also rebuffed claims that she hoards luxury handbags.

When her granddaughter read aloud the Namu Wiki claim that she owned more than 200 designer bags — and had since pared the collection down to about 80 — Park shrugged it off with a flat "All lies."

However, she did not dispute a separate passage stating that fellow actor Kim Young-ok had once said on a broadcast that Park was someone who "buys designer bags worth as much as a house." "It's true that Kim Young-ok said that," Park acknowledged. "I do have a lot of bags, so I can't really argue."

"Once something is said on a broadcast, it stays forever," Park said. "It drives you crazy when things that aren't true follow you around as if they were."

Park has been in a common-law marriage with director Jeong Eul-young — father of actor Jung Kyung-ho — since 2001.
