San Francisco Giants outfielder Lee Jung-hoo hit his fifth home run of the season Wednesday, flashing a hot bat six days after his previous long ball.

Starting as the No. 5 hitter in right field in a home game against the Athletics at Oracle Park in San Francisco, Lee went 2-for-3 with a home run, a run scored, an RBI, a walk and a stolen base.

In the bottom of the second inning with one out, Lee drove a 142 km/h cutter from Athletics starter Aaron Civale on the second pitch into the seats for a solo home run that traveled 126 meters.

It was his fifth home run of the season and his first since he went deep against Atlanta on June 18.

With San Francisco leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth with one out, Lee sparked a rally with an infield single to shortstop. The Giants loaded the bases with two outs on a hit by Adames and a hit-by-pitch to Gilbert, but the inning ended without a run scoring.

Lee led off the bottom of the sixth with a walk and stole second base — his fifth stolen base of the season — but the Giants could not cash in again.

In the bottom of the seventh with the Giants ahead 3-1 and runners on first and second with one out, Lee grounded out to first base.

Lee raised his season batting average from .327 to .331 (88 hits in 266 at-bats), keeping him second in the league. Batting leader Otto Lopez of the Miami Marlins went multi-hit Wednesday to lift his average to .337 (105 hits in 312 at-bats).

Wednesday marked Lee's 27th multi-hit game of the season. He now has five home runs and five stolen bases on the year.

San Francisco won 3-1 to snap a three-game losing streak, improving to 32-46 and fourth place in the National League West.
