Shinsegae Centum City announced Wednesday that its volunteer team, "SHINSEGAE LOVES Busan," visited the Gamasot Nanung community kitchen in Haeundae-gu on Tuesday to serve meals and wash dishes for elderly residents in the area.

The visit grew out of a connection formed in May, when the team learned the kitchen was struggling with a worn-out refrigerator and donated a commercial-grade unit to address the problem. The volunteers then delivered rice, and took part in the full meal service — from preparation through cleanup — to mark the spirit of community sharing.

Meanwhile, Shinsegae Centum City formally launched the "SHINSEGAE LOVES Busan" volunteer team, made up of company employees, on June 4. The group subsequently received volunteer training in partnership with the Haeundae-gu Volunteer Center, using the sessions to reflect on the meaning and purpose of community service.
