General staff with 15 or more years of service eligible
Hana Bank is accepting applications for a special early retirement program targeting employees aged 40 and older.
According to the financial industry, the bank is accepting applications for its second-half special early retirement program from Monday through Wednesday. Hana Bank ran a similar early retirement program last year as well.
Eligible applicants are general staff members who are at least 40 years old and have worked for the bank for 15 or more years as of July 31.
Employees born between 1971 and 1974 will receive up to 28 months' worth of average wages as a special severance payment, depending on their job grade.
Those born in 1975 or later will receive up to 24 months' average wages, based on their age.
Employees born between 1971 and 1974 who take the early retirement package will also receive additional benefits, including tuition support for children, medical expense coverage and job-transition assistance.
Employees selected through a personnel committee review are set to leave the bank on July 31.
Hana Bank said its wage-peak special retirement program, which runs twice a year in the first and second halves, also targets employees born in the second half of 1970, with payouts of approximately 25 months' average wages that vary depending on the month of birth.
