South Africa World Cup captain Ronwen Williams has put his team on alert ahead of their decisive Group A finale against South Korea.

Speaking to Sports TV in an interview reported by South African outlet Briefly on Monday, Williams said the match would be no easy task. "The game against Korea will be really difficult," he said. "Their movement, skill, power, speed and individual quality are remarkable."

He praised South Korea as "a very good team," saying their fluid movement and pace made them "a very dangerous side."

Williams said the match represented a chance for his squad to test themselves on the world stage again. "I'm confident our players are ready to meet that challenge," he said.

He added that South Africa would need to study both South Korea's strengths and weaknesses to find a way through. "We will definitely find a way to make African football's power felt," he said.

South Africa are in danger of an early exit from Group A, sitting on one point after one draw and one loss. They fell to Mexico on June 12 and drew 1-1 with the Czech Republic on Friday. A win against South Korea is essential if they are to advance to the round of 32 on their own terms.

South Korea, by contrast, need only a draw to secure second place in the group and a berth in the round of 32.

The two sides meet in the Group A finale at Estadio BBVA in Monterrey, Mexico, at 10 a.m. Thursday Korean Standard Time.
