Dating rumors linking BIGBANG's Daesung and Kara's Heo Young-ji have been swiftly denied by Daesung's agency.

A representative of R&D Company, Daesung's agency, told iMBC Entertainment on Monday that the two are "just close colleagues," shrugging off the rumors.

The speculation began Sunday after videos circulated on online communities and social media showing Daesung, Heo Young-ji and Oh My Girl's Hyojung attending a Mamamoo concert at Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park.

In the footage, Daesung and Heo Young-ji sat side by side and examined a Mamamoo light stick together. The pair also drew attention as they laughed and chatted in what appeared to be a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Some online users began speculating about the nature of their relationship after the videos spread.

Attention also turned to Heo Young-ji's past appearance on Daesung's YouTube series "Jip Daesung," during which Daesung said: "Taeyang told me to get along well with Young-ji. He says that to everyone — 'Young-ji is great, get along well with her.' I guess he thought we had really good chemistry."

The rumors were ultimately dismissed as a misunderstanding after it emerged that Oh My Girl's Hyojung had also been present at the concert, making clear the outing was a group gathering rather than a romantic one.
