BYD Korea announced Sunday that it has officially opened the BYD Auto Namyangju showroom in the Byeollae new town of Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province.

The showroom is the 34th passenger-vehicle outlet for BYD Korea and is located on the first floor of the Byeollae Station iPark Suite complex. Spanning 357 square meters, it can display up to five vehicles at a time.

Byeollae is a major new town in the northeastern part of the Greater Seoul metropolitan area, situated close to Namyangju, Guri, Uijeongbu and the Nowon-gu lifestyle zone of Seoul. Large residential developments — including Byeollae New Town, Dasan New Town and the Galmae district — surround the area, and electric vehicle infrastructure such as charging stations is well established nearby.

The Byeollae Station area where the showroom is located is served by the Gyeongchun Line and is slated to become a stop on the GTX-B line, making it one of the key transit hubs linking northeastern Seoul with northern Gyeonggi Province. The site also offers easy access to major road networks, including the Seoul Ring Expressway and the Guri-Pocheon Expressway.

"The Namyangju showroom will serve as an important base for strengthening our connection with customers in the northeastern metropolitan area," said Kwon Hyeok-min, chief executive of DT Networks, the dealership operator. "DT Networks will focus not just on expanding showrooms, but on delivering service customers can trust — from purchase consultation through delivery and after-sales care."

Kwon added that the company would "continue to do its best, together with BYD Korea, to give more customers the chance to experience the BYD brand and electric vehicles firsthand."

A BYD Korea official said the company is working to make accessibility itself a brand strength in order to reach more customers. "We will continue to propose a lifestyle in which future eco-friendly mobility is part of everyday life in a more approachable way, and to build brand trust," the official said.

Meanwhile, BYD Korea has been actively building out its customer service infrastructure. On June 19, it opened the BYD Auto Cheongju service center — a 3S-type facility integrating sales, service and spare parts under one roof.
