Everland, operated by Samsung C&T's resort division, said Monday that about 30,000 customers have visited its "Summer Night Safari" since the program launched on June 12.
The night safari has traditionally run in autumn, but Everland said the decision to launch earlier this year has resonated with visitors.
The program takes place after sunset in Safari World, allowing guests to observe lions, tigers, brown bears and other predators up close as they become active in the evening hours.
Everland said it designed the program to capture demand from visitors seeking a cool evening outing amid an early summer heat wave — the reason it rolled out the offering earlier in the season than in previous years.
The nighttime setting lets guests watch predators at their most active, creating a sense of immersion that daytime visits cannot match.
Safari World also underwent a spring renovation this year, with each enclosure redesigned around the animals' natural habitats — a savanna grassland, a predator's forest and a northern forest — adding to the atmosphere of the night safari, according to the park.
Another draw this year is that the night safari is free of charge, letting visitors enjoy the experience without any additional cost.
Meanwhile, Everland's summer festival "Water Festival," which opened June 19, is also underway. Running under the main concept "Splash Day & Night," the all-day summer festival offers water activities during the day and the night safari, performances and garden experiences after dark, continuing through Aug. 30.
