Communicating the value of patriotism and national service to the next generation
Jo In-gyun, chief executive of Geuyangbanne, received the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans minister's award at the 4th Korea Children's Award ceremony.
Jo was recognized for his creativity and expressive ability in conveying the values of national service, patriotism and the spirit of veterans affairs to children — the next generation. He was particularly praised for presenting, in terms children could understand, how the sacrifices and dedication of national merit holders and patriots who died for their country shaped South Korea today.
"I am deeply honored to receive this meaningful award from the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans," Jo said in his acceptance remarks. "I will use this recognition as an opportunity to more widely share the values of national service with future generations and show them what it means to put those values into practice."
Geuyangbanne, a food truck platform company, fulfills its social responsibility each year by providing healthy food at the Korea Children's Expo and various other events aimed at children.
