Working group of 30-plus executives and staff to visit Santa Clara; talks to focus on commercialization and priority projects

LG Group is accelerating follow-up talks with Nvidia on strategic cooperation in next-generation AI, building on the meeting between LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang earlier this month.

Senior executives from LG Group's key affiliates are set to visit Nvidia's headquarters in Santa Clara, California, on Monday (local time) to discuss concrete business cooperation in physical AI and robotics with Nvidia leadership. The delegation — a working group of more than 30 people — includes Hyun Shin-kyun, president of LG CNS; Jung Soo-heon, head of LG Science Park; Kim Byung-hoon, chief technology officer of LG Electronics; Lee Hyun-wook, head of LG Electronics' HS Research Center; and Min John, CTO of LG Innotek, along with working-level staff from LG Electronics, LG Innotek, LG CNS and LG AI Research.

The group plans to hold technology sessions with Nvidia and conduct working-level discussions on each area of cooperation to identify specific commercialization opportunities and define priority projects. Senior executives are also expected to explore a broad, group-wide collaboration framework under a "One LG" approach that pools the conglomerate's core capabilities.

Koo and Huang met June 8 at LG Twin Tower in Yeouido, Seoul, where they agreed to strengthen their partnership across the AI ecosystem — including the joint development of a reference robot — and to deepen medium- and long-term cooperation in physical AI, AI infrastructure and future mobility. Industry observers said the executives' U.S. visit, coming just two weeks after that CEO-level meeting, signals that the two companies' cooperation roadmap is taking shape rapidly.

LG plans to combine Nvidia's full-stack, end-to-end AI platform with LG Group's capabilities in home appliances, robotics, mobility components, smart spaces and AI infrastructure to build a next-generation AI ecosystem and accelerate AI innovation.
