Flagship all-season tire deepens Hyundai Motor lineup partnership

Nexen Tire said Sunday it will supply original equipment tires for Hyundai Motor Co.'s flagship sedan, the new Grandeur.

The tire selected for the model is the Enfera Supreme S, the company's flagship premium all-season tire for high-performance vehicles. Nexen Tire had already supplied OE tires for the seventh-generation Grandeur at launch and will now continue that relationship with the facelifted version, deepening its partnership with Hyundai Motor's signature sedan.

The Enfera Supreme S features Nexen Tire's Noise Reduction System, which uses an acoustic absorber to suppress resonance during driving. AI big data-based low-noise tread pattern design further minimizes road noise and vibration entering the cabin, improving ride quietness and comfort.

In addition, AI-based load distribution design and 4D EMC deliver strong grip and high-speed stability, while optimized sipe and groove geometry maintains consistent performance even as the tire wears. An aerodynamic sidewall design reduces rolling resistance and improves fuel efficiency.

Nexen Tire has been expanding its presence across Hyundai Motor's premium lineup, having already supplied the Enfera Supreme S as OE tires for the all-new Palisade SUV and the all-new Nexo, South Korea's first mass-produced hydrogen-electric SUV. The Grandeur supply is a continuation of that strategic partnership.

Nexen Tire also supplies tires to major global automakers including Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi, a track record the company says reflects its technology and quality competitiveness.

Securing consecutive OE supply contracts for Hyundai Motor's flagship models — in competition with domestic and international tire makers — again demonstrates the Enfera Supreme S's performance and technical capabilities, the company said.
