Yeungjin University in Daegu has been selected for a series of major national education projects this year led by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Ministry of Justice.

According to Yeungjin University, the school was the only junior college in the Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province region chosen for the Ministry of Education's Vocational High School–Junior College Curriculum Linkage Leading University Support Project.

The project is a national initiative aimed at training skilled technical talent that meets industry demand by connecting vocational high schools, junior colleges and companies.

It supports students in completing junior college major coursework while still enrolled in high school, with those credits recognized toward a college degree — enabling early graduation and a smoother path to employment.

Earlier, the university was also selected for the AID (AI+Digital) Transformation Focus Junior College Support Project, run by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea.

The AID project supports AI- and digital-based education reform at junior colleges. Through it, Yeungjin University is building an AX Innovation Center, operating an AI learning analytics platform and expanding AI convergence education centered on industry needs — all part of its push to formalize a "Custom Education 2.0" framework.

The university also had four programs selected this year for the overseas employment training project K-Move School, run by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, and was chosen for the overseas employment specialization project known as the New Cheonghaejin University Project.

It was also the only junior college in Daegu selected for the Ministry of Justice's pilot Nurturing-Type Specialized Technical Department Project.

"Being selected for these key national education projects one after another this year is a testament to the recognition Yeungjin University has earned for its custom education model, industry-academia cooperation and global education capabilities," President Choi Jae-young said.
