People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyeok has publicly called on Prime Minister Kim Min-seok and Democratic Party of Korea leader Jung Chung-rae to hold a three-way meeting to discuss a nationwide rerun of the June 3 local elections and the launch of a special prosecutor investigation into the National Election Commission.

In a Facebook post Saturday, Jang said 869 cases of identical "twin vote" tallies had been recorded nationwide, along with 15 cases of "triplet" tallies, yet the election commission's fact-finding committee had excluded them from its investigation and kept repeating that such outcomes were "statistically possible." "Rather than insisting something is statistically possible, verifying the facts is basic common sense," he said.

Jang also said the Songpa-gu election commission was caught removing items from a temporary office while a search and seizure was underway, and that ballot boxes had been discarded — only for a YouTuber to retrieve one — yet the commission declared the material had "no evidentiary value." "It is the court, not the election commission, that decides evidentiary value," he said.

He further noted that 1,700 votes had gone missing in the Gyeonggi Province superintendent of education race and that vote tallies for individual candidates had been entered in reverse order. Jang then publicly proposed that he, Kim and Jung hold a three-way meeting "to carry out a nationwide rerun and immediately launch a special prosecutor."

"If you believe you can block this again with a majority of seats, that is a miscalculation," Jang warned. "The price of ignoring citizens' anger is nothing but the collapse of the administration."
