Temperatures will climb as high as 32 degrees Celsius across the country Saturday, bringing early-summer conditions nationwide.

The Korea Meteorological Administration forecast daytime highs of 26 to 32 C for most of the country Saturday.

Expected highs by city: Seoul, Suwon and Daejeon at 31 C; Incheon, Gangneung, Gwangju and Ulsan at 29 C; Sejong at 30 C; Daegu at 32 C; Busan at 27 C; and Jeju at 26 C.

The central regions and North Gyeongsang Province will see mostly clear skies, while southern regions outside North Gyeongsang Province will be mostly cloudy.

Showers are expected in parts of the Jeolla region between noon and 9 p.m. Saturday.

Forecast rainfall totals for Gwangju, South Jeolla Province and North Jeolla Province range from 5 to 30 millimeters.

On Sunday, morning lows will range from 15 to 20 C and afternoon highs from 25 to 31 C, with rain expected across much of the country.

Showers will fall across the central regions, North Jeolla Province, the northern part of South Jeolla Province and the western interior of the Gyeongsang region, with rain continuing into late night in the southeastern part of Gyeonggi Province and the southern interior of Gangwon Province.

Particularly heavy showers — up to around 20 millimeters per hour — are possible in the Greater Seoul area, South Chungcheong Province and the Jeolla region. Rainfall totals may vary significantly even within the same area due to the localized nature of the showers.

Forecast rainfall from the showers: 5 to 50 mm for the Greater Seoul area, the Chungcheong provinces and the Jeolla region; 5 to 30 mm for the Gangwon interior and the Gyeongsang region.

Jeju can expect less than 5 mm of rain overnight Sunday.

Areas hit by showers may also experience strong gusts, thunder and lightning. Hail is possible in some locations Sunday, and residents are advised to secure facilities and take precautions against accidents.

Fog reducing visibility to below 1 kilometer is forecast Saturday for parts of Incheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Chungcheong Province, eastern North Jeolla Province and the South Jeolla Province area.

Some island areas may see dense fog cutting visibility to below 200 meters, accompanied by drizzle.

Fine dust levels are forecast to remain "good" to "moderate" across all regions Saturday.
