The World Health Organization has teamed up with K-pop group Enhypen for a surprise blood donation campaign ahead of World Blood Donor Day on Sunday.
WHO announced Thursday on its official social media accounts that it would mark the occasion with Enhypen. "World Blood Donor Day is three days away," the organization wrote, "and this year, we're celebrating this important day together with Enhypen."
The post featured photos of the Enhypen members alongside imagery of blood drops symbolizing donation.
"We're just as excited as you are," WHO said. "Enhypen has prepared a heartfelt surprise for you — stay tuned."
WHO added: "Give blood. Give hope. Save lives."

This is not the first time Enhypen has joined a blood donation campaign. In January, the group partnered with the Korean Red Cross Blood Services on a vampire-themed donation event.
The Red Cross decorated major blood donation centers in Seoul — including locations in Sinchon, Gangnam Station and Seongsu — as well as donation buses, with the theme of Enhypen's new album. Donors who gave whole blood or platelets received "Blood Bite" chocolates and exclusive photo cards of all the members. The donation buses made stops at Enhypen showcase and music show venues, as well as Hybe's Yongsan headquarters.
On the campaign's first day, three Seoul donation centers recorded their highest-ever single-day totals since opening. Over the 10-day run, 3,419 people donated in person.
Online commenters responded enthusiastically to the WHO announcement. "I'm so proud of Enhypen," one wrote, while others posted: "Let's spread more love and blood," "Engene (the fandom) is ready to support this campaign in every way possible," and "It's time to save lives."
The group's fan base account engene_city also weighed in. "We're so proud," it said. "Some of our members have donated blood, and others have had their lives saved by transfusions. Engenes, let's join this campaign together."
Enhypen is set to kick off a world tour with Seoul concerts from May 1 to 3, with the run extending to South America.
