Capacity-building education held for long-term care facility workers
Gangseo-gu District Mayor Jin Kyo-hoon attended a capacity-building education session for long-term care facility workers at the Gomdallae Culture and Welfare Center on Thursday, expressing his gratitude to the participants.
"As we rapidly enter a super-aged society, demand for elderly care is growing and the importance of expanding related infrastructure is becoming ever greater," Jin said. "I am deeply grateful to the workers who have quietly dedicated themselves on the front lines of welfare."
The district organized the session in partnership with the National Health Insurance Service's Gangseo branch to enhance the expertise and service quality of long-term care facility workers.
The training drew more than 230 people from long-term care facilities and was divided into two parts. The first covered techniques for rebuilding relationships with elderly dementia patients and communicating with empathy, while the second focused on changes to the long-term care insurance regime.
Participants also received guidance on the integrated medical and care service project that took effect in March, as well as training on preventing fraudulent billing to improve institutional transparency.
