Eli, a former member of K-pop group U-KISS, is getting remarried.
The singer announced the news Thursday on Instagram, posting wedding photos alongside a lengthy personal message.
"The past six years have been the most difficult and turbulent of my life," he wrote, adding that he had been "blessed to meet an amazing woman who brought happiness and peace into my life during that journey."
He then said her patience and support had helped him through his darkest days and made the good moments even more meaningful. "I'm so happy to share that I've found the person I want to spend the rest of my life with," he added.
He went on to say he felt incredibly fortunate to be starting a new chapter together. "I can't wait to see what the future holds," he said.
Eli, a US citizen, has returned to South Korea for the wedding, which is set to take place June 14 at an undisclosed venue. His bride-to-be is a non-celebrity of the same age.
He also expressed gratitude to his U-KISS bandmates and fans, saying he would not be where he is today without the people who stood by him during difficult times.
Eli debuted with U-KISS in 2008. In 2014, he married Ji Yeon-su, a former racing model 11 years his senior, and the couple had a son two years later before divorcing in 2020. The two appeared together on the TV Chosun reality show "Woori Divorced" Season 2 in 2022 in an attempt at reconciliation, but ultimately went their separate ways.
