First in farm machinery sector to publish sustainability report, now in 6th consecutive year
Seven key issues identified, including customer satisfaction, supply chain and climate response
Report also covers governance transparency, including voluntary audit committee
TYM announced Thursday that it has published the "TYM Sustainability Report 2025," covering last year's sustainability performance and its medium- to long-term strategy.
TYM first published a sustainability report in 2021, becoming the first company in the farm machinery industry to do so, and has now released the report for six consecutive years. ESG reports from 2020 through 2025 are also available in the ESG resource section of TYM's official website.
The report covers value creation activities across economic, social and environmental dimensions. To strengthen the reliability of its content and data, TYM obtained third-party verification from international certification body DNV.
Before publishing the report, TYM conducted a double materiality assessment in accordance with GRI Standards 2021, a global sustainability reporting framework. The assessment analyzed both the social and environmental impacts and the financial impacts the company has on external stakeholders.
Seven core issues emerged from the assessment: customer satisfaction, sustainable products, supply chain sustainability, quality management, climate change response and environmental management, technology innovation, and ethics and compliance. The report details the implementation status and quantitative performance for each issue.
On the environmental front, key achievements include advances in the company's environmental management system to address climate change and build a circular economy, as well as the launch of eco-friendly tractors. On the social side, the report highlights community engagement activities such as tractor donations for young farmers returning to agriculture and retiring employees resettling in rural areas.
On governance, the report notes that TYM voluntarily established and operates an audit committee composed entirely of outside directors, even though the company is not legally required to do so under the Commercial Act. TYM's official website presents environment, social management, supply chain management and governance as the main pillars of its sustainability efforts.
"The sustainability report is a core communication channel through which we share the direction and progress of our sustainability management with stakeholders," a TYM official said. "We will continue to embed sustainability management across the entire organization and translate it into measurable results."
