The Chilgok Culture and Tourism Foundation has confirmed the schedules for Chilgok-gun's major festivals this year, including the 2026 Chilgok Honey Beer Festival, the 13th Chilgok Nakdonggang Peace Festival combined with the 17th Nakdong River Battle Victory Ceremony, and the 2026 Lucky Chilgok Christmas Market.

The 2026 Chilgok Honey Beer Festival, marking the start of summer, runs Thursday and Friday at the Chilgok Peace Fountain area in Waegwan-eup, according to the foundation.

The two-day event centers on "honey beer" and "Bundo sausage" made with locally produced Chilgok acacia honey, offering visitors what organizers call a "honey beer explosion night" — a blend of cold beer, street food, live performances and hands-on activities.

Headlining acts include K-pop duo BbGirls and comedy duo Norazo, alongside girl group S2ET and DJ sets. Family-friendly attractions such as a honeybomb play zone and a water slide experience zone round out the program.

The 13th Chilgok Nakdonggang Peace Festival is scheduled for four days from Oct. 15 to Oct. 18 at the Chilgokbo Ecological Park. The 17th Nakdong River Battle Victory Ceremony will run as a linked event from Oct. 16 to Oct. 18.

The battle victory ceremony commemorates the devastation of the Korean War and highlights the historical significance of the Nakdong River campaign.

To close out the year, the foundation plans to draw year-end tourists with the 2026 Lucky Chilgok Christmas Market, set to be held in December at the plaza near Waegwan Station.

Kim Jae-wook, governor of Chilgok-gun and chairman of the Chilgok Culture and Tourism Foundation, said the foundation would do its utmost to strengthen Chilgok's tourism appeal and improve visitor satisfaction by linking festivals across the seasons.
