The 'K-Talent Sharing Station' volunteer talent-sharing festival takes place Saturday — organized to promote volunteer culture and spread the value of sharing. Sixteen volunteer groups and more than 190 volunteers from the Seocho Professional Volunteer Corps and Seocho-gu Volunteer Camp will take part.
Seoul's Seocho-gu, led by District Mayor Jeon Seong-su, will host "K-Talent Sharing Station," a volunteer talent-sharing festival, at Picasso Mural Street inside the Goter·Sevit Tourism Special Zone on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Held in observance of the International Year of Volunteers, the event will feature Seocho-gu volunteers running performances and hands-on programs to showcase a range of talent-sharing activities for domestic and international tourists and to promote Korea's volunteer culture.
More than 190 volunteers from 16 groups affiliated with the Seocho Professional Volunteer Corps and the Seocho-gu Volunteer Camp — both under the Seocho-gu Volunteer Center — will participate.
Volunteers will present a variety of cultural performances, including fusion Korean traditional music, traditional Korean music, samulnori, taekwondo demonstrations and K-POP classical arrangement performances.
In addition, talent-sharing experience booths where visitors can take part directly will be set up, offering face painting, keyring making and traditional cultural experiences — giving attendees a chance to share in the volunteers' talents and experience the value of giving firsthand.
The volunteer camp also plans to introduce community-based volunteer activities and encourage new participation. Family-friendly programs will also be on offer, including an "energy-saving practice booth" and "Sheep Outing," a special farm experience set in the heart of the city.
The Seocho Professional Volunteer Corps, which leads the event, is the flagship talent-sharing volunteer group of the Seocho-gu Volunteer Center. Founded in 2007, it is now in its 19th year of activity, with 61 volunteer groups currently active across 10 fields — all set to showcase their diverse capabilities at this year's festival.
The district hopes the event will raise the profile of volunteers' talent-sharing activities and give tourists a more accessible introduction to volunteerism.
The Goter·Sevit Tourism Special Zone, where the festival will be held, was designated in December 2024 as the "first tourism special zone to embrace the Han River" and is home to rich tourism resources including Gotermall and Sevit Island. The district has been working to energize the zone by offering a range of tourism and cultural content — including the Goter·Sevit Tourism Special Zone Interpretation Volunteer Corps, which provides systematic guide services for foreign visitors, and the "K-Fashion & Beauty Coaching Station," where visitors can experience K-fashion and beauty firsthand.
"The K-Talent Sharing Station is a meaningful event where volunteers share their talents and passion with visitors from home and abroad," District Mayor Jeon said. "We will continue to work to spread a culture of sharing and bring vitality to the community through diverse programs that blend volunteerism with culture and tourism."
