Shinhan Bank launches AX·Web3 Academy

Shinhan Bank officially launched its AX·Web3 Academy on Tuesday, aiming to strengthen AI capabilities across its workforce and deepen in-house expertise in AI transformation and Web3 technology.

The academy is an internal talent development organization designed to help employees become "AI natives" — staff who use AI naturally across all aspects of their work. Shinhan Bank plans to expand AI education to all roughly 12,000 employees and develop 1,000 of them into core specialists in AX and Web3, boosting the bank's overall capacity to execute its digital transformation.

"The AX·Web3 Academy was launched to embed AI DNA throughout the organization and develop the key talent needed to drive innovation on the financial front line," a Shinhan Bank official said. "We will work not simply to introduce AI as a new technology, but to make the core business of finance newer and more convenient for both customers and employees."
