Persona AI (CEO Yoo Seung-jae) demonstrated AI-powered robots Tuesday at STK 2026, or Smart Tech Korea, which opened at COEX in Seoul.
At the exhibition, the company unveiled its proprietary SSTT (Sovereign AI Speech to Text) voice recognition model deployed on-device in robots. Live demonstrations showed a quadruped robot and a humanoid robot responding to voice commands from a presenter on the show floor.
The company said the SSTT model was developed to handle a wide range of regional dialects and industrial work environments.
Persona AI also introduced technology that optimizes its in-house AI models — including a Large Action Model (LAM), Vision Language Action (VLA) model and small Large Language Model (sLLM) — for robot operating systems.
Building on these technologies, the company said it plans to expand into the agentic robot market, targeting applications in industrial settings, defense and the service sector.
The company said it is focused on realizing physical AI technology, which enables AI to perform real-world actions in physical environments beyond the software domain.
Visitors to the booth watched robot demonstrations and technical briefings, with many raising questions about potential use cases and implementation options.
STK 2026 runs through June 12 at COEX in Seoul, bringing together companies in AI, robotics, manufacturing automation and other advanced technology fields to showcase their latest products and services.
