Lotte Department Store announced Wednesday that it will officially open a store for global street fashion brand HUMAN MADE on Saturday at the first floor of Lotte World Mall in Jamsil.
HUMAN MADE was founded in 2010 by NIGO — born Nagao Tomoaki — a legend of Japanese street fashion and the founder of BAPE. The brand has earned strong support among consumers in their 20s and 30s by reimagining 1940s–60s American vintage workwear, militarywear and sportswear with a modern sensibility.
The Jamsil location will carry products available exclusively at that store, including a nine-piece animal collection featuring the raccoon — a character synonymous with the Jamsil area.
The store will also carry six items created in collaboration with Verdy, a globally recognized artist and HUMAN MADE's creative director. The lineup — which includes a work jacket and tote bag — showcases graphics combining Verdy's character VICK with HUMAN MADE's signature heart logo.
"Scarce brands and collaborative content are a core competitive strength that drives customer traffic," said Yoon Hyung-jin, head of the fashion division at Lotte Department Store. "We will continue to build Lotte World Mall in Jamsil into a space that leads domestic fashion trends through differentiated brands and content."
