As construction of Gadeokdo New Airport and expansion of regional transportation networks and industrial infrastructure press ahead in Busan's Eco Delta City area, Bando Construction's knowledge industry center "Bando IVY Planet" is approaching its move-in date.

Busan city and Gangseo-gu have identified western Busan development and transportation infrastructure expansion as key policy priorities. With the Gadeokdo New Airport project, the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam metropolitan transport network, industrial and logistics belt development, and urban rail projects all advancing, attention is growing around development in the Gangseo-gu area.

Eco Delta City is being developed as a mixed-use urban center combining industrial, logistics and residential functions under the national pilot smart city program. Alongside Myeongji International New Town, it is considered one of the main development axes in western Busan, with a range of transportation and industrial infrastructure projects underway.

The centerpiece project is Gadeokdo New Airport, which is being developed as the gateway airport for the southeastern region. Airport access networks and supporting infrastructure are being built in tandem. Eco Delta City sits in a zone adjacent to the airport, and its potential links to airport-related industries and logistics functions are drawing increasing discussion.

Busan New Port, one of South Korea's major container logistics hubs, is also part of the picture, with plans advancing to build an integrated logistics system connecting the airport, the port and the surrounding urban area.

Regional transportation links are also expanding. The Bujeon–Masan double-track railway and the Gangseo Line urban rail project are both underway, and road improvement work — including the Eomgung Bridge — is progressing. Ongoing discussions about adding an Eco Delta City station are raising expectations for improved transportation access across western Busan.

Industrial infrastructure is also being built out. An AI data center and smart city pilot projects are being developed within Eco Delta City, and efforts are underway to attract companies in robotics, mobility and smart logistics. Linked to the national smart city pilot program, demonstration projects covering autonomous driving, smart transportation and AI-based urban operating systems are also in progress.

Eco Delta City's designation as an opportunity development zone is broadening the foundation for corporate investment, with recruitment of companies in advanced manufacturing and future industries underway alongside distributed energy infrastructure development.

Lifestyle infrastructure is also expanding. Mixed-use facility development combining commercial, cultural and business functions is advancing, and expectations are building for growth in the western Busan commercial district.

Bando IVY Planet, developed by Bando Construction, is a knowledge industry center within Eco Delta City spanning a total floor area of approximately 160,000 square meters across two below-ground floors and eight above-ground floors. The complex comprises 1,128 knowledge industry center units and 82 neighborhood commercial facility units.

The Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Authority has signed a move-in contract and is scheduled to take occupancy after the building is completed. Manufacturing-type and office-type facilities, commercial spaces and standalone office units are currently available.

Bando IVY Planet operates a promotional center in the Myeongji-dong area of Gangseo-gu, Busan. Completion is scheduled for October 2026.
