Nexon is teaming up with Naver's streaming platform Chzzk to blend watching soccer with playing a soccer game in a single-screen experience.
Nexon and Naver announced Monday they will roll out content linking the online soccer game "EA SPORTS FC™ Online" (FC Online) with the Chzzk streaming platform.
The collaboration was designed to extend the soccer broadcast viewing experience into gameplay ahead of a major global soccer event. Users can join mini-games without switching screens.
Starting at 10 a.m. June 12, desktop viewers watching soccer, "FC Online" or "FC Mobile" category streams on Chzzk will be able to play three "FC Online"-based mini-games directly within the broadcast screen. The mini-games — including a curve-shot challenge and a free-kick challenge — are built around core gameplay elements from "FC Online," letting users watch and play without leaving the stream.
Users who complete all the mini-games will receive coupon codes for either "FC Online" or "FC Mobile," delivered to their Npay storage.
Personalized content will also be available. Nexon and Naver said they will display tailored Nexon game content within the Chzzk interface to viewers of those categories, based on individual user data.
