Lee Ha-ru, the 16-year-old daughter of Epik High member Tablo, has earned a sole lyricist credit on a new song by boy group RIIZE.
Ha-ru wrote the lyrics for "Do Your Dance," the title track of RIIZE's second mini-album "II," set for release June 15. She is credited as the sole lyricist on the track.
"Do Your Dance" is an uptempo dance track blending hip-hop beats with electronic pop sounds. The solo credit is notable because Ha-ru had previously collaborated with her father Tablo on songwriting rather than working alone.
Ha-ru had already shown her creative range last year, contributing lyrics to "To Me From Me" by rookie girl group KiiiKiii and working alongside Tablo on subtitle translations for the film "Nirvana the Band."
She has recently been reported to be preparing for the SAT, drawing renewed attention to her father Tablo's academic background — he graduated from Stanford University.
Meanwhile, Tablo married actor Kang Hye-jung in 2009, and the couple welcomed Ha-ru the following year. The father-daughter pair won wide affection from viewers when they appeared together on the KBS 2TV variety show "The Return of Superman."
