The Community Social Security Council of Hogye 1-dong in Anyang announced Monday that it held its "Good Companion Senior Outing Support" project on June 5.
Elderly participants visited the National Agriculture Museum, where they toured exhibitions on the history and traditions of Korean farming and its significance in everyday life. They then shared a meal at a nearby restaurant, enjoying time for conversation and recreation.
Seo Dong-chun, the council's civilian chairperson, said the event went "beyond a simple outing" by helping ease social isolation among elderly residents and providing emotional care.
