Ulleung-gun in North Gyeongsang Province announced Monday that the 2026 Kolon Trail Camp Ulleung was held across Ulleungdo from June 4 to 6.

Organized by Kolon Sports and sponsored by Ulleung-gun, the event drew more than 120 outdoor enthusiasts from across the country.

Participants hiked a course linking Taeha Port, Nari Basin and Dodong, ran trails along the island's coastal paths, and climbed natural rock faces — experiencing firsthand Ulleungdo's distinctive scenery and outdoor terrain.

The Ulleung Alpine Club and the Ulleung Mountain Rescue Team provided route guidance and safety management for the hiking program, helping participants trek safely.

Throughout the event, participants stayed at local accommodations, dined at local restaurants and sampled dishes made with regional ingredients including mountain vegetables and seafood, getting a broad taste of the island's food culture and tourism offerings.

"It was a meaningful occasion for outdoor enthusiasts from across the country to experience Ulleungdo's nature and culture firsthand and feel the island's true charm," Ulleung-gun chief Nam Han-gwon said. "We will continue to actively develop diverse sports and tourism content to boost extended-stay tourism and drive growth in the local economy."
