1,032 units open for general pre-sale, ranging from 39 to 114 square meters; Kwangwoon University transit-oriented development to improve residential environment
Daewoo Engineering announced Friday it will launch the pre-sale of Jangwi Prugio Mark One, a residential complex to be built at 68-37 Jangwi-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. The development redevelops Zone 10 of the Jangwi New Town redevelopment district and will comprise 23 buildings rising from five basement levels to 35 above-ground floors, for a total of 1,931 units. Of these, 1,032 units with exclusive use areas ranging from 39 to 114 square meters will be offered through general pre-sale.
Jangwi Prugio Mark One represents the largest general pre-sale supply in Seoul's housing market in the first half of this year. The complex has drawn strong interest from prospective buyers for combining the Prugio brand, large-scale development, transit access and proximity to an elementary school. With most general pre-sale units located on the fifth floor or above, the project offers a strong opportunity for buyers looking to secure a home in Seoul.
The complex sits within the transit-oriented area of Doldokgwi Station on subway Line 6, and residents can reach City Hall Station — a transfer hub for Lines 1 and 2 — and Sinsa Station, which connects Line 3 and the Shinbundang Line, in about 30 minutes. Vehicle access is also convenient via the East Seoul Expressway and the Inner Circular Road. Future transit improvements include the Dongbuk Light Rail and the GTX-C line.
A large-scale development project is underway near Kwangwoon University Station, and the complex is expected to benefit from improved residential conditions as the area transforms into a key economic hub in Seoul's northeastern corridor.
Jangwi Elementary School sits directly adjacent to the complex, and several other schools — including Wolgok Middle School, Namdaemun Middle School, Jangwi Middle School and Seokgwan High School — are located within roughly 1.5 kilometers. Residents will have easy access to Jangwi Traditional Market, hypermarkets, department stores and movie theaters. Major hospitals nearby ensure strong healthcare access, and the adjacent Bukseoul Dream Forest offers a pleasant living environment and leisure options.
"Jangwi Prugio Mark One sits at the heart of Jangwi New Town, where residents can enjoy a full range of lifestyle infrastructure — transportation, education, amenities and nature — and the surrounding development projects, including the Kwangwoon University transit-oriented development, point to strong future value," a Daewoo Engineering official said. "Given that this is one of the largest general pre-sale offerings among new Seoul developments, we expect significant attention from buyers." A model home is planned to open in the Sinseol-dong area of Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
