Parata Air is putting winter peak-season tickets on sale ahead of schedule, covering the Christmas and Lunar New Year holidays. The move reflects the accelerating competition for holiday bookings and is designed to give customers more time to plan their travel.

The airline will begin selling the tickets through its official website starting at 11 a.m. Friday.

The sale covers the periods when travel demand is most concentrated: the Christmas holiday from Dec. 24 to Dec. 27, the New Year holiday from Dec. 31 to Jan. 3, 2027, the Lunar New Year holiday from Feb. 5 to Feb. 9, 2027, and the Independence Movement Day holiday from Feb. 27 to March 1, 2027.

These periods are widely regarded as the busiest travel windows of the year for both domestic and international destinations. Popular short-haul destinations such as Japan and Vietnam are particularly affected, as securing a flight often determines whether travelers can finalize accommodation and local itineraries. The earlier tickets go on sale, the more flexibility travelers have to manage their budgets and schedules.

Parata Air said seats sold out quickly during a recent summer vacation promotion and that travel demand has remained consistent despite external uncertainties. The airline decided to release winter peak-season tickets early to serve customers already planning for the year-end and Lunar New Year periods.

The early sale targets travelers looking to secure seats before peak-season inventory tightens. A growing trend across the industry has customers booking flights and accommodation simultaneously once their holiday plans are set. Interest is expected to be particularly strong among family travelers, for whom seat availability and departure time options are key considerations.

"We have consistently received advance inquiries from customers asking when Christmas and Lunar New Year tickets would go on sale," a Parata Air official said. "We hope this gives our customers more room to plan their travel at a comfortable pace."
