Cosmax has overhauled its partner collaboration platform, the e-Biz website, expanding its features and reach.

The company said Friday the redesign improves user convenience and introduces a new ingredient-proposal function — moves it expects will accelerate supply chain diversification.

Cosmax has been working to digitize its information-sharing framework with external partners and standardize its internal review processes.

The revamped platform allows both existing and new companies to submit ingredient proposals freely. A newly added English-language page broadens the submission channel to global ingredient suppliers.

Partner companies can now obtain a temporary account through the website — regardless of whether a prior supply agreement is in place — and submit proposals using a standardized form. Previously, ingredient suppliers had to go through a designated purchasing team contact to propose new ingredients, creating a barrier to entry for companies that were not already partners.

Cosmax will provide real-time updates at every stage from submission to adoption decision, along with automatic notifications. Submitting companies can track review progress more transparently, while unified document formats reduce administrative friction on both sides.

Cosmax plans to use the platform as a springboard for accelerating the discovery of new ingredients. By accumulating proposals from domestic and international suppliers as standardized data, the company aims to build the system into a long-term ingredient sourcing infrastructure that goes beyond simple procurement.

"We upgraded the platform to streamline communication with partners and improve the speed and transparency of ingredient reviews," a Cosmax official said. "We will give new companies equal opportunities to submit proposals, manage proposal records systematically, and strengthen Cosmax's global ingredient competitiveness."

Cosmax is South Korea's largest cosmetics ODM company and ranks among the top players globally. Handling everything from research and development to production, it counts more than 4,000 domestic and international brands as customers. Expanding partnerships with both Korean indie brands and global names, the company posted record earnings last year with consolidated sales of 2.3988 trillion won (approximately $1.57 billion) and operating profit of 195.8 billion won. Riding the wave of K-beauty export growth, Cosmax has been strengthening its competitiveness in sunscreen, sheet masks and skincare, and operates a global production network anchored by key bases in South Korea, China, the United States and Indonesia.
