Lee Nam-chul has won reelection as Goryeong-gun county chief in the 9th nationwide local elections.

In a victory statement Thursday, Lee expressed deep gratitude to residents for their support. "I am profoundly thankful for the wise choice of the county's people, who believed in me to the end," he said.

Lee said he takes the renewed mandate seriously. "I will focus the county's administrative resources on revitalizing the local economy and making Goryeong-gun a place where young people want to stay," he said. "I will dedicate myself to unity and regional development."

He described the election outcome as a clear directive from residents. "This result is a stern order from the people to draw a proper blueprint for regional development and innovation," he said. "I will lead county administration with a boundless sense of responsibility."

Lee said the victory belongs to the community as a whole. "This election is not my personal glory — it is a triumph for all the great people of Goryeong-gun," he said. "I will never forget the trust and expectations you have placed in me, and I will repay them with results, staying true to the principles I started with."
