K-pop group IVE has once again reached the top of Japan's music charts.

According to the latest Oricon charts, IVE's fourth Japanese album "LUCID DREAM" — featuring members An Yu-jin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Won-young, Liz and Leeseo — claimed the No. 1 spot on the Oricon Weekly Combined Album Ranking.

It marks the third time IVE has topped the chart overall. It is also the first time a foreign female artist has reached the top of the ranking in roughly 10 months, since IVE released their third Japanese album "Be Alright" in August last year.

IVE swept the weekly charts by also claiming No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking, making it a double chart-topper for the week. The album earned a total of 120,631 weekly points — the highest figure recorded by a foreign female artist's release in Japan this year.

On the Billboard Japan Weekly Album Sales chart for the week of May 25 through May 31, "LUCID DREAM" sold 139,278 copies to take the top position.

IVE debuted in 2021 and has built a strong following among the MZ generation with an identity centered on self-love and confident individuality. The group made its Japanese debut in October 2022, the home country of member Rei. During their first world tour, "SHOW WHAT I HAVE," IVE became the first Korean act to perform a solo show at K-Arena Yokohama. They later headlined Tokyo Dome, drawing 95,000 fans over two nights at a venue widely regarded as a dream stage even for domestic artists.

With the new album, IVE has reached another career high. Currently on their second world tour, "SHOW WHAT I AM," the group successfully performed at Kyocera Dome Osaka in April and is set to return to Tokyo Dome on June 24.
