A man who dreamed of a toilet overflowing with waste — splattering him from head to toe — checked a scratch-off lottery ticket he had bought earlier and found he had won 500 million won (about $330,000).
Donhaeng Lottery, the state-licensed lottery operator, published an interview with the first-prize winner of the Speetto 1000 No. 106 showing on its website Tuesday.
The winner, identified only as A, bought the winning Speetto 1000 ticket at a lottery retailer on Geoje-daero in Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province.
A said he had been buying Speetto 1000 tickets once or twice a month ever since a ticket he received as a gift from an acquaintance turned out to be a small winner. He typically spent around 5,000 won per purchase by exchanging winning tickets for new ones.
He recalled that a few nights earlier he had dreamed of visiting a restroom, only to have a toilet full of waste overflow and cover his entire body. "The dream was so vivid that I had a feeling it must be a good omen," he said.
The next morning, A said, he was about to buy a Lotto ticket when he suddenly remembered a Speetto ticket he had purchased some time before. "I scratched it right away to check, and to my amazement it came up as a first-prize winner," he said.
As for how he plans to spend the winnings, A said he intends to pay off a loan and use the rest for everyday living expenses.
