A first-year high school student in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province, was arrested after attacking a classmate with a weapon in a school corridor.
According to police, the student, identified only as A, pulled a weapon on a fellow first-year student, identified as B, in a hallway of the school at around 8:57 a.m. Thursday. B sustained a shoulder injury and was taken to a hospital; his condition was not considered life-threatening.
Police, responding to a report from a teacher, arrested A at the scene.
A is believed to have attacked B after the two bumped shoulders while walking toward each other in the corridor.
A has a history of being diagnosed with ADHD, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
