Justice Minister Jeong Seong-ho posts message on Facebook
Justice Minister Jeong Seong-ho urged citizens Wednesday to cast their ballots in the local elections, saying they must "visit the nearest polling station and exercise your precious vote."
Jeong posted a message on his Facebook page Wednesday morning under the title "Voting changes the world."
"Today is the main voting day for the 9th nationwide simultaneous local elections," he wrote, adding that "the future of my community and the direction of the country will differ depending on where the will of the sovereign people points."
He then said, "I am the owner and I must be the one to choose," and went on to say that "choosing a capable and good worker will improve my life and develop the region."
Jeong warned that "if an incompetent and bad person becomes a worker, the region's tomorrow will disappear and even my own opportunities will be taken away." He added that how the region develops, what kind of South Korea is built and whether there is hope in people's lives all begin with the choices of each individual.
He went on to say, "The owner of the region is none other than me," and stressed that everyone must vote.
