Digital asset custody service for businesses and institutions

AhnLab Blockchain Company (ABC), the blockchain subsidiary of cybersecurity firm AhnLab, is entering the digital asset custody market targeting businesses and institutions.

ABC announced Monday the official launch of ABC Cloud Wallet, a custody service designed to support the storage and management of digital assets.

ABC Cloud Wallet is a digital asset custody service that individuals, companies, institutions and foundations can sign up for and use online. Beyond simple storage, the service lets organizations set and manage digital asset operating permissions and policies according to their internal standards.

Key features include digital asset operations and permission management tailored to corporate and institutional environments, along with a multi-layered security framework built on MPC (Multi-Party Computation), cold wallet storage and around-the-clock monitoring.

The service also provides on-chain anti-money laundering functionality and transaction monitoring powered by BICScan, ABC's proprietary blockchain intelligence service. It further offers Web3 security intelligence support, financial integration based on WaaS (Wallet as a Service), and scalability for stablecoin use.

Through the service, ABC aims to help businesses and institutions establish a digital asset storage and management framework while reducing the burden of operating separate infrastructure. The company also sees the service as a way to adapt to the evolving landscape of stablecoin-based payments and settlement.

"ABC Cloud Wallet concentrates the security and operational expertise ABC has built over three and a half years serving 2.4 million individual customers and more than 100 corporate customers, along with our proprietary wallet technology," ABC CEO Kang Seok-gyun said.
