GS Global visited the Seoul National Cemetery in Dongjak-gu on May 27 to carry out a cleanup and beautification volunteer project at the burial grounds, the company announced Sunday.

About 40 employees from the company's financial management division, including GS Global CEO Kim Sung-won, took part. After paying their respects at the memorial tower, the group fanned out across the cemetery to wipe down grave markers, pull weeds and tidy the surrounding grounds.

On May 29, GS Global continued its volunteer efforts in honor of Family Month, visiting Yakobeui Jip — a child care facility for infants and toddlers in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. Kim and roughly 40 employees from the management strategy division took part, improving the facility's indoor and outdoor environment through plogging — a combination of jogging and picking up litter — and installing window blinds.

GS Global runs a range of community outreach programs each year, including sponsoring a youth soccer school for children from multicultural families, supporting underprivileged residents near its Pyeongtaek operations and providing high school scholarships.
